DEPARTMENT/COLLEGE HONORS PROGRAMS
Each department establishes its own criteria for admitting students into honors, especially at the upper division level. Several disciplines offer departmental honors for their majors. Check for requirements and procedures for graduating with departmental honors through the department's website or through the following links. Most departmental honors programs will require at least nine hours in departmental honors courses, including a three-hour senior honors project.
Students may take part in more than one honors program at a time. Honors courses are usually offered by invitation only, but students interested in enrolling may make application to the departmental directors of honors in the areas of interest.
