Instructors in Honors are chosen because of their excellent teaching reputations. Many are senior professors; all have demonstrated a special dedication to the philosophy of honors instruction. All honors faculty members hold doctoral or terminal degrees in their fields. No graduate students teach honors classes. Honors faculty members often host classes in their homes, take students on field trips, and supervise honors theses and other undergraduate research projects. Students are also encouraged to suggest a faculty member they think could offer an appropriate Honors course.
